Haitian Operations Up and Running

Thanks to the global pandemic, distributing much needed supplies was delayed to Levo’s sites in Haiti. Once systems completed their production towards the end of the summer, there was a period of two months where many systems did not have the plants and nutrients they needed. But in October, with assistance from Many Hands for Haiti, we were back up and running. By the end of the month all 28 Babylon systems were back up and running at all our community sites. Our systems coordinator and the MVP of Levo’s Haiti operations, Dunerose Bienamie traveled all over the Central Plateau to get seedlings and nutrients to Levo’s partners, and has been checking up and continuing the training of community members.

In addition to continuing our support of several schools and orphanages in Haiti, Levo has began expanding the distribution of our Bokits to households in Haiti. Fundraising for Levo’s Haiti program has begun in earnest, as we look to introduce hydroponics to 1000 families by the end of the year.
